MPB goes SSD
I started rebuilding my Macbook Pro on my new SSD machine. It is almost eerie to use as it is so quiet, so cool to the touch and so so fast. I am copying over single folders and scratch installing everything else. I hope to my Mac issues are behind me with this newest machine.
For those interested in specs:
17 inch Macbook Pro
2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor
500GB solid-state drive
8GB (two 4GB SO-DIMMs) of 1333MHz DDR3 memory
Antiglare widescreen display (great for photographers)

There are the Danbos! Haha.
I’m just reading through your posts re: earthquake & tsunami. You were among the first people I thought off. Glad to see you’re all ok. My thoughts & prayers for everyone there.
I am very jealous indeed. Im a massive Apple fan, have the 27″ iMac, Mac Book Pro, iPhone, iPad, 4 x Apple TV Units, and I even have an Apple tattoo. Yeh – totally true! haha.
I was very surprised to hear about your constant troubles with Apple Hard Drives though. I’ve used Apple products for around 5 years, and never once had a failure.

While you are at it, order the bracket to convert your DVD bay to accept another SSD or a 1 TB HDD …
