Causeway Bay Hong Kong… I started shooting the view out of my hotel window everywhere I go this year. It is going to be interesting to see the collection of photos at the end of the year.

My friend Chris Handley came and joined me and my brother for a nice long photowalk through Hong Kong. I think there is no better way to explore a city than to grab a camera and go for a nice long walk. It does help to have someone who knows the area but not always required. Thankfully Chris knows the area well…

I love shooting with other photographers who shoot very differently to me. Chris is one of those photographers. Every time I saw Chris framing a picture I couldn’t figure out what he was trying to frame but then when I saw the shot it was really good. It was just something that I didn’t see myself. This shot is one example of that.
Note: All of the other shots that are really good below were probably my idea…
I don’t shoot shots like this a lot but I saw him coming and want to make sure I am catering to both my male and female readers, so Ladies of ShootTokyo this is for you…

One thing I like about shooting with other photographers is when they captures some ‘action’ shots of me…

We walked through some parts of Hong Kong that I haven’t been in before…
One tip Chris gave me after shooting this shot was to make sure you have a Protector, or filter, over your lens as these sparks are hot enough to damage the glass. Thankfully I always have them on my lenses.
