Feb 14 Fremont Street

Finally back in Tokyo after 1.5 weeks in Las Vegas. It snowed a lot in Tokyo while I was gone. It was the most snow in 46 years! Mother nature must have thought I was left out so it is snowing again today! I had the worst jet lag in Vegas. The first three nights I went to bed at midnight and was wide awake by 1AM. I was dying by the 4th day. Thankfully it benefited me on my return and I was able sleep a full 8 hours last night.

My room in Vegas overlooked the mountains so I really enjoyed seeing the sunrises in the morning...

Today's configuration: Leica M9-P with various Leica lenses

I held my photowalk on Saturday. Only 2 people came out. Actually 3 but one person couldn't find us so she went home. It was the smallest turnout I have had for a photowalk but a great group to people which made it a lot of fun. We started at Atomic Liquors. The oldest bar in Las Vegas. It is a very cool place.

Why upside down?

The Freemont Experience is an outdoor covered area full of people, street performers, people drinking outside. It not really my scene for photography but it was lively and fun to hang out.

The Heart Attack Grill - extreme everything. People over 350 pounds eat free!

We decided to eat at a street side pub on the second floor so we could watch the people passing.

I try to be very positive on here but this was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We waited forever for our drinks. I think I went to the bar twice to confirm that they actually provided table service. I ordered nachos and they came ice cold with most of the cheese not even melted. I ended up ordering a sandwich instead but it never came. After a few beers we just decided to leave. When I told the waitress to cancel my order that we were leaving she simply said 'OK'. She didn't seem to care at all.

I ended up speaking to the table behind us and apparently they had to return their nachos 3 times and a few other plates.
