Exploring Nezu
I spent a lot of this weekend scanning my images from last weekend's photowalk around Nezu. I haven't done a photowalk since last August when a group of us explored Yanaka. I really enjoy doing these and plan to hold another one when I am in San Francisco next month. I got 4 rolls back from the lab earlier in the week. It is amazing how long it can take to scan that much film. I am trying to be selective by making contact sheets and then determining which images to scan but even then I end up scanning images that I don't end up keeping. It can take around 10 minutes to scan an image at 3,200 DPI so these can be costly mistakes. I decided to start with my Asita roll. I shot my first roll of Astia a few months ago and just fell in love with this film. This is such a magical film. I was lucky enough to buy a stockpile of expired rolls on eBay as it is no longer made. If I find more I will buy it in a second.

I ended up being a few minutes late and snapped this while waiting for the final train to get to the meeting spot...
We started off at Nezu Jinja Shrine. It is a huge beautiful shrine. I could spend hours photographing the details here. I was bright and sunny but I imagine it is stunning when it is a little overcast and a bit damp...
We headed out after an hour or so and walked around Nezu towards Yanaka...
NHK is the local broadcaster who will stop by yearly to collect their 'tax'...They give you stickers to note on your mailbox that you have paid them.
