Friends in Singapore
I have traveled around so much for work that I have been lucky enough to build a network of friends all over the world. A lot of my friends are very international and move around as well so I know people in one city and move to another but we still stay connected due to their travel or mine. I find myself very fortune that way. Lately my work has been really intense and I haven't been able to catch up with people as much as I would have liked. Thankfully this trip I had a free evening and was able to catch up with some old friends in Singapore...
Today's configuration: Leica M9-P with a Noctilux 50mm f/0.95
No parking... and that goes for rickshaws as well!
I would be so good at KungFu if I took it...
Super Durian! The king of fruits...
Great customer service. No Tasting! No Choosing! You buy now!
At least someone loves rickshaws...
My friend Charles... He asked me if I wanted an ice cream sandwich. I said don't as I am not really a sweets person. I didn't think it was literally a sandwich...
You always know you are in South Asia when you see these... They smell fantastic.
Sri Krishnan Temple...
Happy Shake...
Charles is a fan of whiskey so we headed over to Fine Spirits by La Maison du Whisky. It is located on The Pier at Robertson Quay 80 Mohamed Sultan Road. If you like rare whiskey this is the place to go. This place is fantastic. I have a feeling I will visit this place when I visit Singapore...
The bottles are fantastic!
Charles relaxing with a whiskey and his M9. He is CEO is a rapidly growing start up called myWorkflowww so it is good for him to have a chance to relax. He was a customer of my last company and we met a bunch of years ago at a customer appreciation event. Charles loaned me his Noctilux to shoot with and I was hooked. That was an expensive evening. It is always great to see Charles and catch up on family, business, photography and life.
I don't love super strong whisky so I let Charles choose a good one for me. He ordered a Diplomatico. It turned out it was a run and it was fantastic!
My friend Nana joined us. We used to work together. She is one of the hardest working people I know. She is also a lover of whisky so this was the perfect place to meet her. She said it was like going to church...
I have a nice surprise coming for all of you very soon. Stay tuned. Thanks for stopping by today...
