Kamakura on Film
When I was in Kamakura a few days ago I also shot a few roles of film. I enjoy capturing scenes on different mediums and love the look of Kamakura on film. I was wondering as I started getting more cameras if I would have trouble deciding if I should shoot my Leica M9-P, M Monochrom or M6-J but I actually don't. I just grab whatever one feels right for the day. Lately it has been a film camera as I need to work my way through the pile of film in my refrigerator. The pressure is off on that a bit as I picked up a small 12 bottle wine fridge that I will store a few bottles of wine and a few boxes of film. I picked up a bottle of 2008 Silver Oak 2008 and two bottles of 2009 Stag's Leap Artemis today for it. I also have a bottle of 2005 Silver Oak, 2007 Ca' Marcanda and 2007 Opus One that have been looking for a home.
They will share their home with boxes of Velvia, Provia, TMAX, Ektar and Illford. It will be a very happy place...

Perhaps a slight mismatch on the name and the visual...
I love all of the different Mini Coopers in Japan... some of them are really cool.

Kodak Ektar really does a nice job with 'greens'...
You have to keep everything clean in Japan...and gravestones are no exception!
I found it interesting to compare the shots I captured with the Leica M Monochrom vs. the shots I captured on color film. I think the Dragon Water shot worked better in color.
...but I think the falling rocks picture looked better in Monochrom. The textures on the wall, fence and sign really stand out more and make it a better shot.
I should have my Illford 3200 shots back soon. I can't wait to see what Shibuya looks like on Black and White film at ASA 3200!
