Nov 19 A different pace

Los Angeles, Nakameguro, Roppongi, Singapore

I have been traveling quite a bit with trips to Singapore, Jakarta, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Laguna Beach. I have two more trips left to Bali and Taipei and then I'm done traveling until early next year when I have a trip to London. I was hoping this was a light travel year but I still managed 150,000 miles.

I got an extremely bad cold while in Mumbai. It's never fun to get sick when you are traveling. It took me a few weeks to shake off that cold but I'm completely recovered now. I don't wish that on anyone.

I have been traveling so much I missed that ShootTokyo passed it's 6 year anniversary. Six years! 72 months! That's an long time to be doing something. I have written more than 750 posts in this time. Take some time and check out the archives - it's been quite a journey.

I'm looking forward for the year to come to an end. I'm planning on taking a little more than 3 weeks off to spend time with my family and unwind. Hopefully I can put in some good time on my guitar practice, my reading and get out and do some photography. I'm really looking forward to it.

Mt. Fuji is starting to show from my office view. In a few more weeks it will be beautiful. This was still the best shot I have gotten out this window. It shot it on Portra 400. Reviewing this inspired me to shoot some more film. I just loaded up my MP with a fresh roll of Porta.

ANA is such a great airline. If you haven't flown it yet I highly recommend taking them.

The amazing port in Singapore. It's amazingly busy.

I always try to make time to eat at Mag's Wine Kitchen when I'm in Singapore. It's one of my favorite places in the world to eat. Check out the menu. It's so good.

I don't take the train enough anymore. I enjoy driving and listening to podcasts too much lately.

Speaking of listening to things. I picked up a pair of the new Bose Quiet Comfort 35 headphones. It's their noise canceling line. They are amazing. The noise canceling just makes the world around you silent and the sound quality is amazing. Easily the best purchase I made this year.
