Another day in Tokyo
Two of my friends Marysol and Dennis were in Tokyo from Texas. Dennis was kind enough to be one of the seven big backers on my Kickstarter Project that helped me to fund the creation of my ShootTokyo Book. We first caught up for long lunch and then a personal photo tour of Tokyo. It was a fun day of shooting in Shibuya, Omotesando, Harajuku, exploring some camera shops in Shinjuku, and finally finding the Photographer's Bar in Golden Gai. You can check out my previous photo tours with Rocco and Michael.Z
Mayumi joined us for lunch and much to my surprised became interested in our photography discussion when we started talking about macro photography. Long story short she is now an owner of a Canon 5MDKIII, a 100mm Macro L lens and a 50mm f/1.4. I now have a new photography student to mentor. I am very excited to get to share this passion with the person I am so passionate about! Welcome to the world of photography Mrs ShootTokyo!
Today's Configuration: Leica M9-P Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 and Hexanon 60mm f/1.2
It must be hard to keep your staff if they are wanted...
After the 'scientific research' is done...
Dennis was kind enough of let me try out his Hexanon 60mm f/1.2. It was interesting to try out the lens as it is a really unique focal length. These are extremely rare and going for crazy prices on eBay.
Loved this girl's fashion...
Meet Marysol...
Meet Dennis... Like most photographers he tends to bring too much gear!
This is concerning... Cones seem to be growing now.
Aloha!
Am I the only one that notices (or cares) that the chairs are not evenly spaced...?
Candy Strippers?
I need one of these rings...
After Harajuku I switched to Monochrom so look out for the next post for the rest of the day...
I also shot a vlog while out shooting. I am adding a lot of videos to my YouTube channel lately on Lightroom, Post Processing B&W images and street photography tips so if these are interesting to you check out and subscribe to my ShootTokyo YouTube Channel.
Thanks for stopping by today...
