Bamboo Forest
While I only spent three days in Kyoto I feel like I saw and captured so much with my M6. I know I will be going to Kyoto for years to come so I view this as my introductory trip to Kyoto to get a broad understanding of the lay of the land. I have researched each area I went to and I always find something that I wished I went to. I'll be going back to discover all of the little treasures hidden in each area.
Today’s configuration: Leica M6 with various Leica lenses shot on Kodak Ektar film.
The Bamboo Forest is located in Arashiyama. It is a calm peaceful area on the edge of the mountains around Kyoto...
The walk way through the Bamboo Forest is amazing to see the beautiful, tall, well kept forest.
You can see little bamboo growing out everywhere. It must be an amazing amount of work to maintain this place...
This is only a few days of growth...
I wish it was windy when we were there so we can hear the bamboo hitting together...
