Honenin Temple
Honenin Temple is one of the temples along Kyoto's Philosopher's walk. The temple was established in 1681. It is a refreshing and calm atmosphere...especially for someone who lives in one of the most populous cities in the world. For me Kyoto was a break from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and this was the perfect place for a nice relaxing walk. Speaking of Philospher's walk I didn't actually make the walk. Perhaps I need to try that on my next trip to Kyoto...
Today’s configuration: Leica M6 with various Leica lenses shot on Kodak Ektar film.
The entrance...
The temple is lines with paths, stone statues, ponds and a graveyard. It is a secluded relaxing place to walk around...
Beautiful and calming...
Out back is a beautiful cemetery on the edge of the hill...
What a peaceful place to be buried...
Thanks for stoping by today…
