The Contax T3
I have been thinking for a while about picking up a compact film camera. This is a cool little film camera. While my Leica is very small I sometimes just want a point and shoot and this was a great choice. I can see myself starting to collect compacts. I decided to pop a roll of Ilford Delta XP2 400 into it for its inaugural day of shooting. One of the great things about this film is it can be processed by the same process as color film and doesn't take a week to come back from the lab. Since it is following the same process as color it is machine process and the negatives are significantly cleaner and dust free.
Today's configuration: Ilford Delta XP2 400 shot on a Contax T3
No matter what time I pass this store this older man is always sitting in there. I got home late the day the Contax was delivered and didn't get a chance to open it until morning so unfortunately it delayed my departure a bit. I shouldn't break my commuting rules I have for myself.
This is what the train line looks like if I am arriving after 7:30am. Now you understand why I like to be on the 6:45am train. This girl looks miserable and I quickly learned why...
There is absolutely no room on this train. Whatever sense of personal space I had prior to boarding the train was quickly gone. I am actually going to take a different set of trains if I am boarding past 7:15 or so as the train is unbearable at this hour.
My new Starbucks! Actually there isn't a Starbucks in my office building but I have managed to find 4 so far in the maze under Tokyo Station all within a 5 minute walk from my office...
Public sleeping in Tokyo never ceases to amaze me...
I love all of the conversion food trucks in Tokyo. Some of them are incredibly creative.
I watched these kids playing on the rocks for a few minutes. They were having a blast.
The lobby of office building is a shopping mall of sorts called Kitte...
I am still overwhelmed every time I got into Tokyo Station... I think I could do a photowalk just in Tokyo Station.
I finished reading Tokyo Vice this week. A fantastic read. It covers a lot of the darker sides of Tokyo Nightlife. Some of it is pretty amazing. I highly recommend reading this book.
Back in Jiyugaoka...
At Popeye to drop off the first roll. I have to say this little camera really performs...
I have been playing around with some new designs for ShootTokyo T-shirts and have completed the newest designs. I am very excited. They are in the store and available for pre-order.
Thanks for stopping by today...
