Headed to Beijing
After a busy week in Hong Kong I headed to Beijing. I love taking photos in this airport. The lighting is dramatic which makes it perfect for photography.
Why is my gate always at the end...?
I always feel like I am really in Asia when I am flying 'Dragon Air'.
Out my hotel window... the never ending construction in China is simply amazing.
Beijing is freezing this time of year. Me in the mirror...puffy style!
After settling into my hotel I went for a walk to explore a bit...
I have been traveling to China for 12 years now and it is amazing to me to see how much it is changing with massive brand stores popping up everywhere.
I love photographing street cooking. The lights, smoke, contrast of color make for very cinematic pictures.
That corn looks pretty yummy...but not sure I have the stomach for street food.
I stopped to shoot this bike as I loved the red light falling on it. I was surprised to see the sign behind it. There seem to be a lot of 'adult toy' shops popping up everywhere.
I met up with a few friends for Mongolian Hot Pot (similar to Japanese Shabu Shabu). You basically get a pot of hot water and lots of beef and vegetables to cook in it.
This kind father spend most of his meal cooking for his family...
Meet Tom and Elli...
Tom shoots film. One day I know I will be buying a film Camera.
To my loving wife: if you are reading this and can't figure out a gift for me, free to pick up a Black Leica MP...my existing lenses will work so it's a money saver!
They had hand made noodles... so yummy!
We took a walk down Ghost Street after dinner...
This boy was selling roses on the street and really wanted his photo taken (over and over again).
There are a lot of very cool store fronts in Beijing...
Thanks for stopping by!
