Ouchijuku with NHK
I am spending 3 days in Fukushima trying to capture of beauty of this part of Japan. This region has suffered a lot since the Magnitude 9.0 earthquake of 2011 triggered a tsunami that killed 16,000+ people and triggered a nuclear disaster and I wanted to share a bit of the daily life that still goes on here. Today's Configuration: Leica M9-P with a Noctilux 50mm f/0.95, Summilux 35mm f/1.4 and Summilux 21mm f/1.4
I saw this guy out taking photos so I stopped him for a chat and to take some pictures...
I saw this guy with a Leica hanging around this neck. I chatted with him and he owns a M2, M3, M4 and M5! I want...
It seems everyone had a camera (of some sort)...
I need to buy one of these red cows for Kai...
Ouchijuku is a famous old country village full of shops, little restaurants and a beautiful forrest. It was also freezing so I am glad I got a new jacket in London last week...
I am doing this as part of a project with my friend Hitomi Kumasaka and a crew from NHK News Web (Japan's national broadcaster). A show will be aired later in the month but you can check out Hitomi's video from today to get a feel for things...
Dragons be here....
A view from on top of the village...
Today's crew... I felt a little bit like a rock star with this many people following me!
There was a lot of stopping and interviewing...
Thanks for stopping by today...
