School Street
Saturday's photowalk from Fenway Park to Faneuil Hall Photo Walk in Boston is still on. Today’s posting is the fourth leg of the walk. We will start at Fenway Park, head down Newbury Street, through the Boston Public Garden and Boston Common, and end at Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market. The game time shifted to start at 12 noon as it is a double header now. I will be shooting around Fenway from about 11AM if anyone wants to join. We will depart from the Cask n Flagon at noon sharp. If it ends up raining we will take a little break or take some cover and shoot people running for cover. Great street photography moments in the rain. If you are interested in joining the quickly growing group… please drop me an email or leave a comment so I can invite you to Google+ so you can get additional information as I post it.
Here are the details of the walk:
We still depart from the Cask n Flagon (62 Brookline Avenue) on the corner of Brookline and Lansdowne at 12PM sharp.
12-1PM: Walk down Lansdowne Street and photograph the scene outside the Red Sox Game vs. Oakland A’s at Fenway Park (starting at 1:10PM).
1-2PM: Walk down Newbury Street and photograph the people, shopping and sites. We met some really interesting people yesterday.
2-2:30PM: Explore the Public Garden; swan boats, musicians, nature and swing by Cheers Bar.
2:30-3PM: Break: We will stop for a well deserved break at Starbucks Coffee on the corner of Beacon and Charles.
3-4PM: Walk through Boston Common down School Street shooting the scenes in the Park and the streets of Boston.
4-5PM: Explore Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market shooting Street Performers, Shops, Shop Keepers, and all that makes this place so fascinating.
5PM until… Ned Devine’s Irish Pub. We will take over Ned Devine’s for eating and drinking.
Today’s Configuration: Leica M9 with a Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 and FujiFilmx100.
The first football game in America... I think they might mean soccer.
People must be OK...
Lounging... I love the natural vignetting of this lens.
I love the selective focus I can get...
Boston Duck Tours... I have never actually taken one of these.
Some great building to shoot as you make your way down school street...
..and now a word from our sponsors.
Interesting that Boarders is shutting down. It's not really surprising.
