Dinner at Bukhara
Another day in New Delhi India.... There is such an disparity between the temperature outside and inside your lenses fog up instantly when you get outside. Make sure that you are traveling with plastic bags and desiccant packets to protect your gear.
Today’s Configuration: Leica M9 with a Noctilux 50mm f/.95 with an ND64 Filter. FujiFilm x100.
We had a really hard rain as it is still monsoon season and then a bit of flooding everywhere bringing lots of Delhi to a standstill.
A woman getting mehendi in a market...
The one really interesting thing about India is how active life is on the streets. Make shift markets, barber shops, and restaurants. I past this man shinning shoes in the morning and then again on the way home. I stopped for a shoe shine for 20 rupees, or about 45 cents. I am sure I was over charged but look sharp for my meetings!
I decided to head to the Sheraton for dinner to try out Bukhara... rated one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the World! I am very excited and our driver very confident who to get there...
...there are two Sheratons and one has a Bukhara. Our confident driver did not bring us to this one.
30 minutes later we found Bukhara... they don't take reservations after 8PM so you just leave your name and then go and have a drink until a table is ready.
King Fisher....lovely.
Walked around the hotel a bit waiting for our table...
Lots of very impressive cars...clearly cars of dignitaries.
The lobby bar had very interesting roofs...
It is a very interesting place. Very casual...
The food was simply but masterfully prepared....
The breads are incredible here...
A lovely place... glad I made the trip.
