Dinner at the Oberoi Hotel
After exploring a bit we headed over to the Gate of India... Today’s Configuration: Leica M9 with a Noctilux 50mm f/.95 with an ND64 Filter. FujiFilm x100.
This was very neat to see... This is called mehendi. This skin decoration looks like a temporary tattoo and is used in celebrations and weddings. This one was just completed. This would peel off over night and leave a very intricate design on the skin.
More barriers...
The gate of India...
Guard with some serious firepower....
These two were in a very heated argument...
A vendor taking a rest...
Left turns are free...
Happy guards...
I love these cool little Hindustan Motors cars driven by India officials...
Zegna is even in India.... I love their suits and shirts...
After a little shopping we went to the Oberoi Hotel for dinner...
Danbo had a King Fisher...
Started off with a little wester appetizers...
...and some great wine.
We moved to India Food, or food as it is called here, for our main course. It was so good... I use to always have a hard to Indian Food. I think I caulked it up to consistency. I am just not to eating food this 'soupy'. Once I accepted that the consistency is just different I learn to really like Indian food. I went to dinner one night with an India friend of mine and he ordered one of just about everything and I tried a little of each and learn to really love India food.
Meet Silamsingh...he was kind enough to call a cab for us...
Home for now...
