I worked at home today and needed to run out to the Ward Office with Mayumi so I needed to focus to get everything I needed to get done completed. While we were in Nakameguro we took the opportunity to stop at Preece and pick up some things that we can't seem to find in Jiyugaoka. I stopped to look at the canned coffee. I don't think I can drink my coffee pre-made from a can. It just doesn't appeal to me. Let me know if you have had different experiences. Today’s Configuration: Leica M9 with a Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 with an ND64 and a FujiFilm x100.
I have been shooting this combination a lot lately. I have to say I can capture most of what I want with just these two body/lens combos.
Now this is always something that has bothered me but I am happy to report is resolved. Now you need to understand a little background and culture on Japan. The maintenance and building staff in buildings tend to be very controlling. A great example of this is the excessive use of cones in parking spaces in Japan so you need to human intervention on choosing which parking space to choose. I use to always be amused at Preece when I pulled into the parking garage and the attendant would come sprinting over and ask how long I was going to be staying. I always wondered if that would some how change which space I was going to get.
Anyways this elevator for the longest time had a plastic cover over the buttons on the side of the elevator (vs. the ones on the door). Now these are the buttons with braille under them. This plastic flip cover is very inconvenient for people in wheel chairs that need to use it and makes it impossible for blind people to find the button. This cover use to always mysteriously break and would be promptly replaced.
A neighbor of ours who is in a wheel chair ended up lobbying to politicians to get it removed...and now it will no longer need to mysteriously break.
We stopped by Gooz to pick up lunch...
I love American Gas Station style coffee... It makes me feel like I am driving on Route 95 in New England.
I highly recommend this burger... yum.
After I finished my work for the day...I went for a short walk. Like I said 'focus'... I love the isolation I can get with my Leica lenses.
There is a Yoga College near my house.
Won't walking be the best way to thank nature...
I found a cool Mini Cooper shop!
By the way...I have 150 Google+ invites so drop me a mail if you want to be invited. If you like what you saw today, please share it by clicking one of the links below. Thanks and see you tomorrow!
