Opening Night: Tokyo Photo 2014
Last night I attended the opening reception for Tokyo Photo 2014. I was very excited because the Heaps Magazine interview about me was going to be on display , there would be a brochure given out and Tokyo Photo was letting me set up a table to sell my books. When I got to Tokyo Photo I was setting up my books and the writer for the article came over to say Hi and asked me why I didn't go and see my photos. I gave them very large resolution files for the magazine but what I didn't realize is they were also making a few huge prints to hang up around the magazine display as well as having a monitor with a slide show of my images. It is the most pleasant misunderstanding I have had in Tokyo to date. Tokyo photo is set up like a maze and I have the final wall at the end of the maze where my work is hanging up. I have never done a gallery showing before and this is a pretty amazing first showing! Honestly I am still in shock that my work is on display at Tokyo Photo. This is one of my proudest moments with my photography.
I am going to be there all day today and most of tomorrow so if you are in Tokyo please stop by!
