Spring Time in Tokyo
I love spring time in Tokyo. The weather is not too hot and not too cold. You can wear a light sweater and a light jacket but the jacket isn't required. It was nice to not have a weekend that involved travel so I took the opportunity to get out with my wife Mayumi and check out the cherry blossoms. They will be in full bloom next weekend but this weekend they are still very beautiful. If you are in Tokyo this week I hope you get a chance to get out and check them out.
Today's Configuration: Leica M9-P with a Summilux 35mm f/1.4
Just a short walk from my house is a street lined with cherry blossom trees...
After walking around with Mayumi and Kai for a bit I decided to head down to Nakameguro. Something was going on at the station. There were cops standing at each door opening and boarded the train when it stopped. I didn't see them pull somebody out but something was going on...
I stopped by Meguro River in Nakameguro. It was jam packed. I can't imagine what next weekend will be like. I am off to Korea on Wednesday for 2 days and won't get back until Friday night. Likely will just do some mellow Ohanami near my house with Mayumi. I don't want to be stuck in the madness of Nakameguro.
The sight most sense along the river are selfies...
Everything evolves for Cherry Blossom season, including this hair salon turned Saki Bar...
Shockingly the streets were closed to cars so this security guy tried with all his power (and some cones) to keep people off the roads. Failed.
This guy with his megaphone and shiny stick had a lot more success. Clearly a job too big for cones...
My neighbor had this in this yard. One day I'll have a cherry tree in my yard...
Thanks for stopping by today...
