Mumbai
I just spent the last week in Mumbai India. I have made a few trips to India in the past year but I haven't had much time for photography so wanted to make sure I was able to take some pictures this trip. The trip was for an event my company was hosting. It was great to catch up with some old friends and make some new ones. I got to speak on a panel on Social Media with a few friends; Rega Jha the Editor of Buzzfeed India, Model Scherezade Shroff, and Rohan Joshi from the comedy collective AIB. They are all very funny people so it made for a really fun panel. Today's Configuration: Leica M Monochrom with a Summicron 28mm f/2.0
The event was YouTube Fan Fest which was packed with 5,000 screaming teenagers. Well this wasn't actually one of them. This is my coworker Niken. If you want a glimpse into what it is like check out this clip...
Flights out of India are really late at night. Last night my flight is at 23:45 so I had the day free to sleep in, get out and do some street photography, catch up on my work and then grab dinner with co-workers before heading off to the airport. There is nothing worse than ending a very busy trip with a packed inbox and a lot of action items so it was nice to be able to spend a little time catching up today. I still had my flight to clear out the rest of my inbox. I also had Godfather I and II playing in the background. Love those movies...
I took the red eye flight to Singapore and then an all day flight to Tokyo. l landed at around 5PM and then drove 70km to get home. I got home around 7PM or so it ends up being about a 20 hour trip, door to door.
I headed out with my coworker David yesterday to check out Mumba's Chor Bazaar Market. I almost bought a Mamiya 67 but then realized I have enough cmaeras and didn't feel like lugging that home.
This guy was doing a pretty amazing job hand carving a stone sign...
At first I thought this was an accident but it turned out this car was being stripped down for parts...
The market was packed...
Hardware store...
This woman was watching the action in the markets from her window...
Jeans being hung up to dry...
4 guys and a goat...
Reminds me of my youth...
Horns... now this is a business to be in when you are in Mumbai.
Thanks for stopping by today...
