Tokyo Photowalk
It has been a while since I held a Tokyo Photowalk and figured it was time for another one. My last photowalk was in Yanaka in Tokyo and I really enjoyed the area so we will be going there again. It is packed with more than 60 temples, old little shops, little paths and winding streets. It is a really charming part of Tokyo and a great place to spend an afternoon. It is nice to be able to get together with a group of like minded people to socialize and share our hobbies. I have even made some good friends I met through my photowalks. If you an experienced photographer you can come along and share what you know. If you are just learning don't worry then there will be lots of people to learn from and to ask questions to. During my last photowalk the youngest photographer was 4 and the oldest was...well let's just say older than all of the cameras. Photographers of all levels are welcome.
When: Saturday March 16th, 2013
Time: 12PM
Where: We will meet in front of Nezu station. We will shoot in and around Yanaka or wherever the road takes us. After we lose light we will find a place to grab a bite and a few drinks.
Gear: Pack whatever you are comfortable shooting with. Remember, the more gear you carry the less photographs you actually take. We will be walking so don’t pack too heavy. I’ll be shooting my Leica M6-J with one or two lenses.
Here are a few shots from around Nezu courtesy of David Runacres to give you a taste of what is in store...
If you are interested in joining please leave a comment below so I have your email address as I will be sending out some email updates as we get closer. If you are bringing people, please make sure to mention how many so we have a feel to how many to expect.
I hope to see you there!
