Another San Francisco Photowalk
I will be in San Francisco next week for business and will hold another San Francisco Photowalk when I land on Sunday. Flights from Japan land in the AM so it is a great way to ensure I stay awake and it gives me a chance to get out and see the city. I held a photowalk just a few weeks ago and forgot how much I enjoy them. I shot film on this walk: Color Exploring Nezu, Black and WhiteExploring Nezu
Last year I held Photowalks in Sydney, San Francisco, Tokyo, Beijing, Singapore, Hong Kong and Boston so have a look to get a feel for what to expect. I try to see different parts of the cities when I travel to help me get an overall feel for the city. This time we will shoot around Maria Green.
It is nice to be able to get together with a group of like minded people to socialize and share our hobbies. I have even made some good friends I met through my photowalks. If you an experienced photographer you can come along and share what you know. If you are just learning don’t worry then there will be lots of people to learn from and to ask questions to. During my last photowalk the youngest photographer was 4 and the oldest was…well let’s just say older than all of the cameras. Photographers of all levels are welcome.
When: Sunday April 14th, 2013
Where: Marina Green. We will meet on the corner of Scott and Marina Boulevard. We will shoot in and around Marina Green or wherever the road takes us. After we lose light we will find a place to grab a bite and a few drinks.
Gear: Pack whatever you are comfortable shooting with. Remember, the more gear you carry the less photographs you actually take. We will be walking so don’t pack too heavy. I’ll be shooting my Leica M6s with one or two lenses and lots of film.
Make sure you do your taxes before coming...I hope to see you there.
