The mean streets of Jiyugaoka
I hope everyone's year is off to a good start. I can feel mine beginning to pick up after a nice break from travel with a trip to Dublin later this week and London the following. I am very excited as I have never been to Dublin before and it is a place I have always wanted to visit. I will have the weekend free to explore Dublin before heading off to London. I enjoyed exploring London on my last trip to Europe. If anyone has any suggestions on what to see while there please let me know. After my last few videos on Street Photography Settings for Beginners and Setting up your Shots I got a lot of mails asking for a few more examples. I headed out last weekend on the means streets of Jiyugaoka with my friend Dorian to practice this a bit more and capture a few more examples.
Today's Configuration: Leica M Monochrome with a Summicron 28mm f/2.0.
Meet Dorian. He is using my A7S, Summilux 35mm and accessories to shoot me...
At first I thought this would make a pretty cool shot but the guard rail really takes away from it...
This was example 1 in my video...
Example 2
Every time I walk by here in the evening this guy is standing here patiently waiting for whatever he is making to cook. I really admire the patience. I haven't eaten here yet but adding it to my list...
I wasn't super happy with example 1 or 2 but they were for illustration purposes. This is the third image and I was pretty happy with how it came out. I got all of these shots in about a 3 block radius. When you are out shooting there is no need to speed walk the area as many photographers do but rather slow down and look at your surroundings.
Here is the video I made from our shooting...
I don't ride motorcycles but if I ever did this would be what I would ride. This bike was beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by today...
