Exploring London
After a busy week in London I finally had a day for myself for exploring London and some photography. I was initially thinking I was going to host a photowalk but I was pretty burnt out from the week so I decided to spend the day catching up with colleagues and shooting alone. Often on photowalks I spend more time talking than shooting and this weekend I really wanted to get some shooting done. I headed out to East London to explore a bit.
Today's configuration: Leica M Monochrom with a Leica Summilux 28mm f/2.0
East London is full of lots of little markets and cool shops. You can see more in my YouTube video from the day...
There is some great street art as well. It reminded me of San Francisco's Market District.
I really like the backdrops in London. It makes for very interesting and dramatic street photography.
Creepy store front...
Cool store front...
I wish I could play guitar. I have tried picking it up a few times but I know I just don't have the time with everything else I am trying to do...
Anything for the photo...
I checked out a very cool exhibition on Rock and Roll photography...
The alleys in London have fantastic leading lines...

Late in the afternoon I checked out the shops by Carnaby Street. I was surprised as I was walking and shooting I passed two guys and one shouting out 'Hey it's ShootTokyo!'. I haven't been recognized on the street from my blog for a while so that was pretty cool!
I later hit the photographer's gallery...
Shortly leaving after I got this tweet. Cool twice in one day! It feels good. It's motivating...
I did a lot of shopping in London. I have been looking for a leather jacket for years. I am super picky and wanted one was really plain. I have also been looking for a nice warm jacket. I found both of them sitting in the window of Hugo Boss. I was really surprise how reasonable Hugo Boss is in London compared to Japan.
German Car, German Camera, German Jacket...
I don't think you are suppose to leave your horse and go drinking...but the bar is called The Coach and Horses.
I find the pub culture fascinating. The streets were just packed with people. Since it was my last night I had to have some fish and chips!
Thanks for stopping by today...
