Finally settled into the timezone after a little under a week in San Francisco. I got to catch up on a lot of work. It is taking me a while to settle into a new IT setup. I am migrating from iPhone and iPad to Android. I got to get out and see a bit of San Francisco. I was also able to catch up with a good friend who was kind enough to let me drive his new car... All I can say is 'Wow'...

It's a little hard to take them seriously when it is up in front of a bunch of different restaurants on the same weekend. It comes off as a bullying tactic. I'm just glad it was safely conned off.

I was contacted by the corpsman from my ship when I was in the Coast Guard. He is now living north of San Francisco and he saw on Facebook that I was in town. We got together for a bit of shooting as he is also into photography. We haven't seen each other for more than 20 years. There is an amazing bond build when you serve with someone...

Sunday I went for a short walk and spent the rest of the day catching up on work...

I will be going to San Francisco this weekend and I'm pulling together a casual photowalk. I will be holding a San Francisco Photowalk on Saturday @ 2PM. If you haven’t been on a photowalk before it is a great opportunity to get out and socialize with like minded people. If you an experienced photographer you can share what you know. If you are just learning, then there will be lots of people to learn from. Photographers of all levels are welcome.

When: Saturday June 14th, 2014

Time: 2 PM

Where: We'll meet on the corner of Haight and Market. We'll explore the Haight Ashbury and then head toward Golden Gate Park. We will play it by ear but we could shoot the Japanese gardens, walk down to the beach or Sutro Baths.

Gear: Pack whatever you are comfortable shooting with. Remember, the more gear you carry the less photographs you actually take. We will be walking so don’t pack too heavy. I’ll be shooting my Leica M9-P with one or two lenses.

There isn't a sign up. You can just show up if you are interesting. Stay as long as you want. We will shoot for a few hours and then stop off for a few drinks and grab a bite to eat.
