Exploring Marina Bay
The one thing I love about Singapore is the amazing views outside of the windows. I find it very distracting when I am in the office. Here is the view out of my office window this week... Today’s Configuration: Leica M9 with a Noctilux 50mm f/0.95, 21mm f/1.4 with an ND4 Filter, SD-24D and FujiFilm x100.
Not a great photo but I think a great story. I went an electronics plaza yesterday called Sim Lim Square that sells lots of computer parts. I was looking to see if I can get the bracket for my Macbook that I can use to replace my optical drive with an additional SSD drive. My 500GB SSD hard drive is always full. Anyways as I was making my way up to 5th floor someone stopped me to ask me what I was looking for. Then he said you aren't from here, right? I said right. I though the line of questioning seemed a bit strange. Then he said you are from Japan right? I said yes... He said I though so...you are Dave from ShootTokyo, right? I was so surprised. I was wearing business clothes and carrying a brief case. I have been recognized in Japan a few times but never outside of Japan. He said he really likes my photos. It was very flattering...
After Sim Lim I had a customer dinner at Marina Bay Sands with customers last night so I headed over a little early for a little bit of photography. The high end shopping there is amazing...
I love that I captured Chanel reflections in the Ferragamo window.
